Moose Calling 101 (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information when you use the Moose Calling 101 mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, profile photo (optional) and location preferences.
Hunt & Activity Data When you log hunts, sightings or track reports, we collect the details you provide including location coordinates, dates, weather conditions, moose activity observations, photos and notes.
Call Recordings When you record a call in Practice Mode, the audio recording is stored on our servers. If you choose to share it with the community, it becomes visible to other users along with your profile name.
Communications Messages sent through group chats and direct messages are stored to enable delivery and conversation history. We do not read or analyze private message content for advertising purposes.
Usage Data We collect anonymized usage data including feature usage frequency, session duration and navigation patterns to improve the Service.
Device Information We may collect device type, operating system version and unique device identifiers for troubleshooting and analytics.
How We Use Your Information
To provide, maintain and improve the Service
To personalize your dashboard, recommendations and community feed
To enable communication between you and other hunters (group chat, direct messages, friend requests)
To display community content (shared hunts, sightings, call recordings) with appropriate attribution

Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

With other users : Profile information, shared hunts, sightings and call recordings are visible to other users based on your privacy settings (Private or Public).
With service providers : We use third-party services for hosting, analytics and push notifications. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
For legal compliance : We may disclose information when required by law, legal process or government request.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your Rights & Choices
Access & Update : You can access and update your personal information through the Settings > Personal Information screen in the app.
Delete Account : You can delete your account and all associated data through Settings > Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Privacy Settings : You control whether individual hunt logs are marked as Private (visible only to you) or Public (visible to the community).
Communication Preferences : You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
